CURRICULUM / VTM
WIND & HYDRO TURBINES
Engage and explore the STEM principles related to vertical, horizontal, and hydro turbines. Students will gain an understanding of how fluids can be harnessed as a renewable energy source through research, engineering, and design activities. Students will apply the scientific method, the engineering design process, and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of hydropower as a renewable energy source for sustainable engineering.
Learn about solar power through the lens of an engineer. Solar power is becoming a widely utilized renewable energy source. Solar-powered vehicles have long been the topic of discussion in engineering, but only recently have designs become a reality. In this unit, students will explore the science of solar power while also exploring the engineering design of an automobile.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP & MANUFACTURING
Explore engineering and design through participation in hands-on learning experiences in localized manufacturing. Create realistic prototypes, act as engineers, and gain a deeper understanding of the iterative nature of the engineering design process. This course encompasses the spirit of engineering and design while integrating entrepreneurial skills, naturally supporting student resilience, independence, and creativity.
ROBOTICS & ELECTRONICS
Learn how robotics & bionics in particular is changing the world of prosthetics. Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the human hand and will then learn about coding and 3D printing using TinkerCad Circuits and TinkerCAD or similar programs to allow students to create designed prosthetic devices.

With PicoCredits, you have access to our talented staff of teaching experts around the globe. One credit can become one hour of teaching or one hour of personalized tutoring for a student.
